چکیده

Twenty-two root samples from raspberry plants exhibiting symptoms consistent with Phytophthora infection, i.e. cane wilt, chlorotic leaves, and blackened roots, were collected two farms in Perthshire, Scotland, November 2021 (Fig. 1). Roots rinsed water, cut into 20 mm sections, transferred 70% (v/v) ethanol for 10 seconds dried on sterile filter paper. Five sections per sample aseptically to Petri dishes containing CMA-PARP medium (Stewart et al., 2014), sealed incubated the dark at 18°C. The hyphal tips of growing colonies onto fresh CMA-PARP. isolates obtained, distinct morphotypes: one produced sub-globose, non- semi-papillate sporangia, while second globose papillate sporangia 2). Root material (c. 1–2 g sample) was freeze-dried 2 mL microfuge tubes prior DNA extraction a PowerSoil Pro Kit (Qiagen, Germany) as manufacturer's instructions. PCR performed using genus-specific primer pair YPh1F/YPh2R (Schena 2008). species P. idaei, ilicis plurivora detected but no these obtained samples. To determine identity isolates, ITS region amplified sequenced ITS5 ITS4 primers (White 1990). BLAST analysis revealed isolate 99.49% Phytopythium vexans found China (GenBank Accession No. MW800643). Organic Management of Raspberry Root Rot

PROCEDURES: We conducted two studies to investigate an integrated program for root rot (Phytopthora fragriae var. rubi) control in raspberries that would be useful to organic and conventional growers. These two studies have been carried out on our commercial field of ‘Meeker’ that was established in 1997 on raised beds with drip irrigation. Soil at this site is naturally infested with the root ...

first report of pilidiella granati on pomegranate with symptoms of crown rot in fars province

in summer 2014, plants of pomegranate (punica granatum l.) with crown rot symptoms was observed in the firozabad and siakh-darengon area in fars province. the symptoms were very similar to phytophthora crown rot. surface-disinfested tissues from the lower margins of the necrotic area were plated on acidified potato dextrose agar (pda) and phytophthora selective antibiotic medium (cma-parp). to ...

First report of Fusarium chlamydosporum causing crown rot and dumping of on Durum wheat in Algeria

Several species of Fusarium infect durum wheat plants in the eastern part of Algeria. Endophytic fungus from random wheat seeds were sampled from fifty locations in eastern Algeria and shows the existence of Fusarium chlamydosporum regarding the macroscopic and microscopic characteristics. Molecular identification using EF1 and ITS1 primers were confirmed the presence of Fusarium chlamydosporum...

Morphological and molecular characterization of Oomycetes associated with root and crown rot of cucurbits in Kermanshah province, Iran

Pythium and Phytophthora are among the most well-known plant pathogens around the world that cause rotting of seeds, root, and crown, seedling death, and soft rot of fruits in contact with the soil. In this research, 347 isolates of these two genera and their close genus, Phytopythium were isolated from the cucurbits fields in Kermanshah province, Iran and examined in...
